Default 98 silverado exhaust headers JBA or Gibson?

Im trying to decide on which set of headers I want to buy that isnt gonna break my wallet. Found these to brands to have reasonable options around 400 and below. Which ones the better choice? How bout any other ones I should look at.

Headers are very much worth it if you get long tubes
Shorty header are a complete waste of money

^ bingo. But on 98 and older trucks, shorties do see some gains as the stock manifolds are very very restrictive. Still longtubes>shorties

Get longtube headers, make sure to check to see if it is still
street legal in your state.
Brand doesn't matter.
Swing by autozone or Kragen and pick up the cheapest set you can buy.

I don't buy into header brand names, they are all the same

Are long tube headers gonna be a direct fit in my 98 silverado? Also not looking for a loud exhaust either. Planning on going magnaflow from end of headers back, their SS dual cat system and SS dual rear exit is gonna look real nice.

Yeah headers are a direct fit, from there I'd have a exhaust shop run the pipin you want, and if you want a quiet yet throaty exhaust, a long case magma flow is perfect
