99 2500HD, steering rack play? & Oil pressure gauge flickers

99 2500HD, steering rack play? & Oil pressure gauge flickers
Hey, just bought a 99 2500HD 4x4.
There is a little play in the steering rack. I know this is a common thing, but what is the fix?
My friend just bought a 00 2500HD last night and he has the same issue.
And also, my oil pressure gauge flickers if I let off the gas. It never drops (as in loosing pressure, it just flutters around when I'm cruising or let off the gas for a second. Is this the gauge or the sending unit?
