I own a 1991 YJ Jeep Wrangler. After driving it for a decade with the anemic 2.5L 4 cylinder and recently upgrading to Chevy 1 tons (SRW 14 bolt rear from an '87 3500 Pickup and a 83 K30 front axle) so I can run 42" tires, I realized that even regearing the 1 tons to 5.13, I'm going to have nothing for power.

Thus, my quest to be the owner of a Jeep body and frame with the heart, soul and butt kicking power of a Chevy V8! I sourced a 99 Yukon L31 motor and a manual SM465 trans out of a 77 Chevy Ambulence mated to an NP205 transfer case from an 86 Chevy Truck. All of that is coming together nicely but I realized that I have no idea what clutch, flywheel, master and slave cylinder to use.

I called a few GM dealerships and their parts/service departments, who were pretty clueless as to what clutch could even be used with the 99 Yukon motor, as there was near a manual option to go with that motor. I called Summit, who also wasn't sure.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of pairing in their Chevy full size? Despite this apparently being a very common pairing for Jeeps, I've found some conflicting and imcomplete info. Any help you guys can be would be awesome!
