Hi and thanks for any information you can give me I apprecaite it. I had a reputable mechanic replace all four to the ball joint about 5 months ago, but it sound like the left front ball joint are going bad again. What would cause them to go bad so fast? When it was aligned I was told that the idler arm was bent but not bad enough to stop the alignment, by the way drive a 1998 (1/2) half ton z71

Cheap parts, damaged on install or he forgot to grease them/it. Unless you wrecked the truck since they were replaced.

I have not done that, it does have almost 192000 miles though could it the bushings on the control arms becoming dry and making the click sound that I am hearing?

could be control arm bushings. also maybe he didnt tighten the nut on the ball joints? sway bar links also could be bad, bushings for idler arm or pitman? broken spring, bad shock?
