Battery light

I have a 2001 silverado, the battery light is on and the the odometer lights are off, as well as gas gauge and temp gauge not working. alt and battery are ok. any suggestions?

The first step in all electrical problems is to check all the fuses.

bad cluster bad ground...lots of possibilities
