Default Cadillac 6.0 L engine for my Silverado 1500

I am considering putting an Escalade 6.0L engine into my Silverado 4.8 L Work Truck.
Has anyone ever done this? Will my transmission be able to handle the increase HP and torque?
Any anticipation of problems or considerations to help my make decision?
Thanks

Lots of people do it, you'll want to get it tuned afterwards though. And yes as long as you're not gassin it at every corner the tranny will hold up fine

When u say tuned afterwards, do u mean a custom tune from Blackbeard or just a regular tune and why?
Thanks

Ronnie,
Thanks for passing along your knowledge and experience. I see from your bio all the things you've done for your Silverado.
Next week I am having the Bilsteins 5100 installed. The following week I am getting the airaid CAI installed. I see you have K&N filter with the Volant. Is that a good combo.
Also you have the Wheatley tune. Were you happy with that and does it make a good improvement?...Lastly pls tell me what's an e-fan?

The 5100s make it ride top notch I will say that, and yes the k&n filter with the Volant intake works nice, just keep the filter cleaned and I've had no problems, and yes yes a good custom tune is what you want(Wheatley, Blackbear). They're so much better than a handheld programmer like bullydog, superchip, edge etc, and e-fans are electric fans lol. My truck came stock with a clutch driven fan and on hot days I sound like a jet takin off, so I pulled it and installed electric fans out of a 05 silverado to cool down better and free up a little horsepower because now the engine doesn't have to turn the fan

What year did Silverados change from engine driven fan to an electric one.
You mention you pulled yours out of an 05. Was that an upgrade option that year or did they change to electric around 04 or 05?..My truck is an 03 so I assume it's engine driven.
My mechanic told me he had done upgrade conversion quite often. Are there any tidbits of advice you can give me (and him) about the changeover to avoid any problems such as harness to use, or type or brand or size of electric fan. My truck came with HD cooling due to the snow plow prep package so I want to make sure I have a large enough fan. I assume the size of my radiator and the size of my current fan will dictate what size electric fan I should use for upgrade. Correcto????
Pls advise.

34" radiator out of 02-06 2500-3500HDs or suburbans/Tahoes, or 05-06 silverados. The e-fans came in the 05 as an option and then in 06 as stock on the 1500s. I bought a harness from blackbearperformance and then got a custom tune for it to work right
