Default Chevy 305 head gasket replacement

I just bought a 97 Chevy with the 5.0 305 motor I drove for a little while and noticed cloudy oil low coolant excess smoke out of the tall pipe and high temperature. So I'm assuming it's the head gasket sense when I bought the truck he give me mechanic bills stating there was coolant in the oil and they replaced the intake gasket and a bunch of other stuff. Anyways I'm planning on changing the head gasket this week and I would like for you guys to guide me on what to look out for. I also want to make sure the block is not warped etc. I would like tips and if you know the torque spec and order that would be nice thank you
