Default chip question!!

i have a 2005 chevy 6.0 and i got a chip from a friend that he had in his 2007 chevy 2500 6.0 and i was wanting to know if it woould still work on my truck because he thinks it was made for a 07 to 08 only what is the difference in the two trucks befor i try it?

should be a help number or something on the chip. Give them a call because the pcm might be different on 06 and 07

If his is a 07+ newer style it won't work on yours. Easiest way is to plug it up and see what it does
