Default Cold air intakes and mud ?

I have a 2000 silverado Z71 and I like to take out in the mud often. It still has the stock air intake and I want to replace it with a K&N intake but I worry it would suck water up when going thru large puddles my truck has a leveling kit and when I go to wash it after I go out and play the air box is covered in mud also does anyone know if the K&N will be ok for this thanks for the help.

If you go muddin keep a closed box. What I always recommend is gettin the airaid MIT kit(air filter and air tube). The stock box flows more than the truck can handle, it's the tube that's restrictive.
