Default Comparing 5.7L engine to newer 5.3 L

I am considering selling my 95 Chevy Z71 with the 5.7 liter engine and getting a 2005 or 2006 with the 5.3 liter engine. Do the newer engines have the same towing capacities of the older ones? Or will I miss the power of the 5.7? I am towing a 5K trailer. I always use the weight distribution hitch with sway bars. Thanks!

Your 350 came with 210 hp and 300 ft lbs of torque, the 5.3 in the 04-06 range came with around 300HP and 335 ft lbs of torque. So in terms of power you'll definitely be making an upgrade.
