crazy electrical issue...
I recently traded for a 2003 ls 1500 silverado. It had a jensen cd player in it, I removed it to replace it with a factory rds cd player. I plugged the factory one up and had nothing. No lights on the radio no sound. So I removed it and put the jensen back in just as it came out and nothing. Checked the fuse and found it to be blown, replaced the fuse and still nothing. And now the service air bag light is on. Anyone with any ideals. Thanks

Check the fuse again and also all the other fuses. It might have blown again. Look at the wiring to the plug for the radio/CD player to see if there are any bare wires that might be shorting out. If you have a meter also check to see if you get 12 volts at the plug. I believe the red wire has 12 volts with key on and the yellow wire has 12 volts all the time.

Does anyone know of any comon link between the radio power, interior light coming on when the doors are opened, the horn and the chime letting you know when the key is in the switch? Checked every fuse and wire connections. All fuses are good no broke wires. Also where is the switch located the makes the circuit for the dome light. I know its usually in the door jamb. The dome works with the dash switch. Any clues.
