Default Dash Panel removal

How is the proper way to remove the panel around the radio & ac controls on a 2001 Silverado. (I don't want to break anything) I want to try & replace some leds for ac control which I found out how to in another thread.

Thanks I'm glad I found you

The whole bezel(outer cover) (as you sit in the driver's seat) just snaps out towards you. Rest your hands on the dash under the windshield, and slowly pull your hands back towards you till you feel the edge right near to the top of the radio and vents and stuff. Just gently but firmly pull it straight back towards you, and you'll feel the snap connectors pop loose on top, then work your way around the bottom until it works free. Be sure to have the parking brake on, your steering wheel in it's lowest position, and your shift lever in low gear(all the way down)

It snaps back in when you're done, don't forget to wipe the gauge crystal clean for that "showroom new" look.
