Ok, i will start off by saying that i am new here soo this may have been brought up in a previous thread. However i only had time to sift through about 70 pages of past threads. I have recently purchased a 2005 Z71 crew cab with 118k on it. I have worked as a mechanic since i was 18 years old and have not heard of a way to reset the engine hour readout. Strangely enough with 118k mine is showing 256 hours. Just wondering if i have somehow missed a way to reset the hour readout. Since i find it comical that in order to have that many hours on that many miles someone would have been setting land speed records with a mostly stock Z71. Any info would be appreciated.
