'88-'89 Grille and headlight assy on a '98?
I have always loved the look of the '88-'89 Silverado grille/headlight assemblies. I'd like to swap out the grille on my 1998 Sierra with one from an '88 or '89 Silverado. Is this doable? What would be involved in the swap?
Thanks for any help with this!

I am looking to do the same thing. My buddy has a 89 Sierra, I have a 96 silverado. He wants my grille and lights and I want his. If anybody helps you out on this, let me know. I would greatly appreciate it!!

The grille can be upgraded. Back in 2000 my son had a 95 Chevy work truck, single headlight plain front-end. I bought a Silverado style grille on-line for his truck. When I talked to the sales rep to place the order he said that it was the first order he had gotten to upgrade from a work truck to the nice grille, everyone else was upgrading the 88-93 models to the 94+ style.
I don't have the company info anymore, but it is possible. You'll need both headlight assemblies and do some wire splicing. I've still got the old work- truck grille and headlights out in the shed. I should sell it on craigslist.

yes can be done, all bolts that hold the front clip on to the fenders line up. you remove the entire front piece and swap them. Go to a Junk yard and start grabbing parts.
