Default Engine power loss??

Hello all,
I've changed my spark plugs the other day with AC Delco Iridium plugs. The guy at the auto parts store told me to gap them at .040 but the specs on the label inside the engine compartment states .060 so I did just that. For some reason now my truck does not have the same acceleration and power compared to before the spark plug change. Now it seems like its bogging down no good acceleration. I'm wondering what is causing this and does it have to do with the now plugs and how I gaped them?

Any help would be appreciated.

You should have left the gap where it came. We take care of a fleet of express 2500 vans, the gap was changed to .040. It is very easy to ruin a platinum or iridium plug by changing the gap. My recommendation would be to buy another set of plugs and do not mess with the gap. You could try to re gap yours but you would probably end up doing them a third time.

I have a 2001 Chevrolet silverado 1500 2wd 4.8L. I'm having power loss when trying to go up a hill. When I press the gas pedal, close to an inch, nothing happens. I have to stomp the gas for it will downshift and go. I have new plugs, wires and fuel filter. Any ideas?

Dirty air filter, mass air flow sensor? Clogged injectors?

K&N filter - just recharged, new mass air flow sensor, Use Seafoam every 3000 miles. My truck idles at 5000 rpm. My truck runs better when the rpm are high. Are my rpms too low?

You could've over oiled the filter. It happens quite often with k&n. I'd clean the maf and recheck the filter oil

The issue was before I recharged the K&N filter. I haven't clean the maf yet. The issue only occurs when I'm on the highway going up a hill.
