60/40 to buckets
I just picked up some nice leather bucket seats out of a 96 Chevy Tahoe. My question is will these bolt up where my 60/40 split seats sit now? Or will there be some fabricating involved? Thanks'

Ah, the good old Chevy "surprise". If the parts you got fit, SURPRISE!!
Wait a minute, do you have 60/40 bench seats up front, or are you installing these seats in the back? The blue truck pictured already has front bucket-seat backrests.(Yes, I am paying attention!)
What you may be looking at here may be 40/20/40, where the center is actually a special "console seat" in which you have to remove the other two seats to remove the "20" seat.
The racks may just bolt to the floor. The flat "E" nuts can be defeated with a six-point 15MM socket, but you'll need "E"sockets (reverse torx) for the "E" bolts. You can get them at any large car parts store. Be sure to match the threads(metric) when you replace the OEM **** with normal six-point nuts and bolts.

I am replacing the 60/40 seats up front. Looking at it the passenger seat will bolt right up. Now I think for the driver side I will have to drill. Can anybody verify this.

I just mounted a platform and amp for my audio system between my front buckets. I also had to drill the floor to install the platform. The relevant point is be careful to gently slit open your carpet or vinyl flooring to get down to solid floor, because there's a wiring harness going across the middle of the truck floor under your floor covering and insulation.
Also, be sure you've run the new racks as far as they can go on their mounts, they stick a little for the last few inches sometimes. You may not have to drill at all. Think about it, why would you have to drill the driver's side when the passenger side bolted right up?

There is only one set of holes on the drivers side and the passenger side has 2 sets. It is a 60/40 split so the passenger side is almost like a bucket seat. There is also a mount on the trannt hump. How would I go about bolting it up? I can not really weld up there under the cab should I just use a nut a bolt and a lock washer???

If the passenger seat bolts up through the second set of holes, are the racks on the bottom of both seats the same? If they are, you should try marking and drilling in the same location on the driver side floor. I used large fender washers as well, to support the body, and keep the floor from getting distorted.
BTW, nice seats!
