Default silverado 5 speed stuck in first

alright well i was coming off a light and shifted to second let out on the clutch and i was still in first. theres almost no tention between first and second and i cant even get the shifter to move over to third fourth...
i took off the shifter boot and all and had a look down in the tranny the rod moves fine but it doesnt move the forks at all. idk. what should i do?

pressure plate or throwout bearing would be my guess. was the flywheel resurfaced when the clutch was put in?

if its your throwout bearing you would hear a noise when the clutch is depressed, could be you pressure plate any fluid in the slave cylinder?

throwout bearing could be stuck open. or slave cylinder isnt gettin pressure....air pocket in the master cylinder. i just put a clutch in my truck the other day and had to replaced my slave cylinder because it wouldnt go into gear. turns out i had an air pocket in te master cylinder

TRUE! I will be putting a clutch in my truck soon harder then hell w/ out a hoist! I put one in my 85 pick up and one in my jeep not fun!

6 inch lift...youll be alright we did mine with a jack and some afro ingenuity

yeah should be no prob did you have to remove torsion bars? exhaust?

nope just cross member. dropped trani and transfer case all at once. bell housing got caught up on my exhaust but nothin some jack work and pry bar didnt fix

around here advanced auto was like 200 somethin i think. dont remember
