Default GPS Mounting Options

I just purchased a 2007 NBS Silverado and want to put a GPS navigator in it. The suction cup mount is illegal in California, but doesn't seem to be enforced. Though the windshield sits forward a bit so that option doesn't look like it'll work and I don't like the suction cup mount much anyways. I also don't want to glue the mount to the dash.

I was looking at ProClip but mounting over the climate vents isn't workable, the driver's side center vent is to close to the gear selector, the passenger center vent is to far away. I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: It seems ProClip has added some mounts for the 2007 Silverado, the angled console mount might work. If someone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

The Kuda mount looks like it's for the LTZ, I should have specified that I have the 2LT model. The mounting options don't look like they will work.
