Default LQ4 6.0 2000 vs 2002

Is there any drawbacks to replacing my 2000 6.0 with a 2002 or any major changes I would have to make?

I have a 2000 Silverado LT 2500 4x4 ext cab. I am thinking about rebuilding or replace with a rebuild. I need to get rid of the knocking, it's just not cool when you go through a drive through and they think you have a diesel, lol.
I have a lead on a 2002 6.0 that I could rebuild. Is it worth the change to an alluminum head motor, as mine is the Iron head motor?

If you can get it cheap, then jump all over it. Just rebuild it. Should throw some goodies in it while you're at it too
