Default Heater issue 95 K1500

Howdy,

I have a 95 K1500 I use as a beater in MN. Recently, it has decided that it wants to be in control of it's own heating. This is a problem, as the temperatures up here have been pretty consistently in the -10 range. I'm trying to decipher if its the blower motor itself, or something else. Here are my symptoms/problems.

Fan not working.
Fan only working on certain levels. (will work on all but one level, not always the same)
Fan only working on high.
Fan works fine.
Terrible "burnt plastic" smell filling the cabin temporarily.

What should be said is that, in all instances, the heat is always there, just not being delivered. I would of guess resistor, but the fact that its not just one setting that it won't work on consistently makes me think there is just a problem with the motor. Any input is appreciated.

If it is in fact the blower motor, could I possibly get a link to a how-to? I don't feel like buying a Haynes.

Thanks, Ryan
