used Valvoline 5w30 up till 500,000 then switched to full synthetic mobile 1 or Castrol syntec. Flushed cooling system every 100,000.Change 1 front end part pitman arm.Replaced the cross over pipe at 850,000,rest of exhaust is still original. On my 10 th set of tires.Change plugs every 100,000 I WILL SEE IF I CAN POST THE ODOMETER READING

Default 90's baby

[QUOTE=coolhand;148593]GM needs to get a high mileage club going and fast. I know theres alot of people out there driving there 200+km truck wishing they had the shiny badge to show off to the high society of Fords n dodges that need to be serviced every 10,000k whilst our old gas guzzling, black smoke bellowing, straight pipe singing chevy's are still kickin *** driving by their dealerships! I am a proud owner of a 96 silverado k2500 that has 383,000 km on it! and shes still purrs like a kitten. It sports the 350 vortec and barely burns any oil. I can't take all the credit becuase it was second hand but man the owner before took pride in his **** and that truck has yet to show a speck of rust.

I love this idea man. I have a 90 and it has 210,895 miles on the original motor and transmission. And it still runs like a dream. This truck will be staying in the family for a long time.

2000 silverado +240xxx I have to put in a new display

New trans @ 50k
New rearend @ 187k
New transfer case @ 205k ish
New fuel pump @ 230k
It has developed a miss on the 3rd cylinder, a oil leak on the back of the motor, the transfer case is locked in 4by , hubs are free, abs is gone, and it's possessed

Possetion - light flip on and off, fan (heater) will kick on full blast with the key in my pocket and the doors will lock automatically and random times
