How do I change my headlights in my 97 silverado?

I just want to make a revision to 992Door's instructions; If you're replacing your headlight assembly (housing+lenses) then it's not necessary to remove your grille. After popping your hood, you should see two holes above each headlight with a small hexagonal head. You should be able to loosen them up with a ratchet, then finish and remove them with your fingers. After removing those 4 bolts (2 for each light) the headlight housing should come straight out of the grill.
Are you replacing just your headlights, or your head lights and your turn signals+side markers? If you're replacing your side markers too, after pulling out the headlight housing and the turn signal housing, you should be able to reach inside and feel where and how they are connected; again, break out the ratchet to get those off.
Grill removal isn't necessary.

I've done a lot with my headlights/grill and such, as you can see from some of my pictures. I think the only thing you may have to take the grill off for is changing out the bowtie if you chose to do so. I'm sure it's 'possible' to do it without taking the grill off, but it would be a major PITA.

1997 Silverado Headlights
I too have replaced my lamp bulbs but the lights won't come on. I have parking lights and break light. The relay was replaced and all the fuses are good. What could be the problem? Any ideas?

Headlights
Lamin-x makes headlight covers in different colors. It is a (40 mil, I think) film cut to your specific application. I have them on my 93 525i and have yet to have a broken/discolored lens. I will order for my new lights.
