Default How to remove headlights??? Please help!!

Can anyone please help me with this. I can not figure out how to remove my factory headlights from my 2007 (new body style) silverado. After removing the bolts, unplugging the bulbs, and pulling on it, it seems to get "caught" between the fender and the grille. There has got to be an easier way to get them out without taking all kinds of stuff apart. Someone please help!!

Thanks!!!
Josh

If it is like the older chevys, then you probably have to take the grill off to remove the lights.

Just curious as to why you want to remove the headlights.
[blockquote]Aren't headlights required in your state?
Do you just like to take things apart and put 'em back together?
Did you find some cool looking after-market headlight?
[/blockquote]

Ill answer your first question, im not gonna dignify your other questions with answers. Im installing a HID headlighting system, and it would be alot easier if I could get the headlight housings out. So if you want to share some insight to help me, by all means please leave a comment. But if your just gonna post wise cracks, dont post here.

Thanks!

I havent bought them yet, I actually have another thread in here going called "true HID's on Silverado" or something like that. It tells my story and asks for advice from others. But I havent got any replies. I found a kit yesterday, looks like a good kit, its sold at www.plasmagarage.com that is probably where im going to purchase mine here shortly, if I can figure out how to get these stupid headlights out. The 6000K's look pretty nice.

Very condescending questions...

Back to the original problem.
They may be set up where you have two plastic slides on the back of the radiator support that hold it in. Just pull up on them and it will release the whole headlight assembly.

Guys! the 07s are different. Please quit asking him to remove the two pins. He doesn't have those.

I'm gonna find your answer once and for all...
