I have a hole
I have a 89 Silverado 4x4 5.7. I noticed today I have a hole that leaks oil. The hole is in whatever is located directly behind the oil pan above the exhaust. I'm new to 4x4's so take it easy on me. The hole looks clean with no scrapes around but doesn't exactly look like it normally had a bolt in it or anything.

Valve cover gaskets, Intake manifold gasket, oil pressure sensor, oil pan gasket, or rear main seal. One or more of those is your problem. Likely the rear main judging from the pictures.

I agree with Headache Ball I think the hole you see is just in the flywheel cover...I'd clean it all up real good and start by addressing some of the items listed above...

+1 and suggestion. I would do valve cover gaskets and intake first. You might get lucky. Those older ones like to leak on the back of the intake. Maybe a dentist mirror could show you?

Thanks guys! I was freaking out because I took my ATV to the lake bottom and got slightly stuck while turning around I never bottomed out or anything but after I seen oil under my truck and when I got to looking found that hole. It also wouldn't start. It was making the sound of when you hold the key after it's started. I replaced the starter and if starts great now. I can deal with a minor oil leak for a week or 2 but not it running completely.
