Default Can a faulty cluster draw power?

So in my 2003 silverado 5.3L I have a pretty bad parasitic power draw. In 2-3 days in summer, one night it will be stone cold dead this started happening around when my cluster quit working and I haven't got around to fixing it. I'm just wondering if the cluster not working could have anything to do with the power drain.

yes, the cluster can cause Parasitic draw. I fix these problems daily. Clean the back of the circuit board with a light nylon brush and isopropyl alcohol.
