jump start
This may sound stupid but I've forgotten the proper way to jump start my truck. When I bought it the dealer told me to use the positive cable box that is not actually hooked to the battery. Is this right? I drive an '03 Silverado

That is correct. I jump start vehicles often as part of my part time job,[Motorist assistant for the State of La.]. we help stranded drivers on the interstates and that is where we teach the new coworkers.
