Default Last question....I pormise....:) but it got MORE confusing

I see where my truck (2013, 4x4, 2500, crew WT, gas) originally came with the 265/75/18!!!! But then for some reason under options, it changed to 245/75/17. Came with 4:10 in both cases. Why in the heck did they go down to the smaller size tire if the rear was a 410, they should have LEFT IT with the larger tire or even went UP in size??? All this time I am researching what bigger tire I want and can fit and seems like the 265/75/18 is already a whooping 1.15 larger and I would have been much happy with that tire with NO LIFT at ALL!!! Again, what the heck am I missing here???? Was the 410 not good enough for the 265/75/18?

4.10s are "good enough" for that size tire. It's a hair taller than 33" but a skinny tire at that. Barely 11" wide. Usually they put the smaller tires on there so they can meet their "goals" of mpg that they have to meet by the EPA, also it boosts their tow ratings since a smaller tire/wheel combo weighs less.
