Have a 93 Sierra. I want to lower the front. Ive heard of cutting the springs, buying new springs altogether, drop spindles, and then one other way: Compressing the spring with those clamps you can get at Auto Zone. This is the easiest way, about 30 minutes worth of nut turning on the clamps per side, as apposed to $250 spindles, or $150 springs, busting ball joints loose ect. Trying to be budget minded, but safe.

You are aware that lowering changes the geometry of the front end,and will require alignment,,if there is enough adjustment. If you put those clamps on it will ride like a wagon.

Just like retired wrench said it will ride like a wagon, when you hit a bump the springs will compress but when they come back up it is gonna stop real hard because those clamps won't let em go any further. So, I guess you have to ask yourself how much is ride quality worth to you.

You cant put those clamps on and adj them to the height you want. You tighten them down and completely collapse the coils between them. If you didnt when the spring compressed they would fall off or at least rattle like hell.

New spindles would be the best bet and easier than puttin in new springs. Takes maybe an hour to do. That'd be the safest way, clamps on springs sounds like a horrible idea
