Default Is my heater core going bad?

hey y'all I got a 99 silverado z71 and I noticed the other day my truck had water under it (I thought) because it was dripping from the same place that the a/c drips from. ONLY problem is that I don't have ac so I was confused and after tasting it, I found that it was coolant. I can smell that burning coolant smell and my windshield keeps fogging. I know these are all tell tale signs but my carpet is not wet inside the truck and I haven't heard of it coming out where the ac drips from. Sorry for the long reading.

Yep, core is bad. Steaming is a sign.

Default Bad heater core with a leak

I have the same issue on my 2007 equinox and was wondering is there a recall on this?
