Almost made it home
Added another chevy truck to the fleet today, a '97 plain-jane beater just to go back and forth to work in while my wife drives my truck. We are shopping for her a new impala.
Well I test drove this truck for about an hour,no problems. I even put a pressure tester on the cooling system!
Stopped for gas on the way home,looked under the hood and under the truck one more time, dry as a bone. Went thru the carwash, noticed it was overheating. got out and ALL the coolant had dumped on the ground. Added water ran out as fast as it went in.
Looks like the water pump, I have just never seen one dump water this fast. Its a 4.3L.
I"ll just have to drive the old vette for a couple of days.
