Default New here so what's your MPG

I'm selling my diesel and looking into getting a chevy silverado 1500 4x4 quad cab. The 4.9 maybe or other I'm just looming right now. It looks like it'll be around the 03-07 year model. I saw an 05 body style today and really liked it. But I was wandering what mpg's are y'all getting on hwy and city?

you might be thinking of the 4.8
around those years the silverado comes with 3 major types of motors the 4.8 the 5.3 and the 6.0
my truck has a 6.0 i get 11mpg city and 13-13.5(14)mpg highway if im lucky

it's a strong motor. except when your dad doesn't know how to use the programmer and shuts off the rev limiter and gets it stuck in mud and throws a rod through the block. they aren't that bad for towing or power wise. it'll pull a skidsteer on a trailer no problem and makes it down the drag strip in the high 15's with 33's on it.
