What usually gets overlooked is the ground side. Check the continuity to the chassis ground from the bulb socket over the black wire.

Hmm, you keep saying good power into and out of the junction block. Are you reading good voltage at the bulb socket with the brake pedal depressed and none without? Is that with or without the parking lamps on? To be clear, the stop lamp bulbs usually have two filaments, one for the stop lamp and the other, parking lamp.

So, you either have to repair the wiring or splice in a new socket, depending. The only thing I can add is to make sure to seal the splices good (with solder and heat shrink tubing if you can). Good luck.

Under the hood, in the fuze box there is separate fuzes for the trailer lights, and the trucks lights. I had a problem with my 06, and thats where I fouund the answer, good luck.
