Hey Everyone. I'm new to the site, the site looks awesome. I had a question regarding my rear end on my silverado. it just went out and i'm needing to replace it and i was wondering if i find a rear end out of a 70 or 80 silverado and it has drum brakes can i swap the disc brake that are currently on my rear end to that rear end without any problems?

To answer your question..No,No and No.

I'm assuming you have a 99 to 06 Silverado since your post doesn't indicate.

Repair your existing rear end or swap with a like year that has the same gear ratio.

you can convert but with the amount of time money it'd take it wouldn't be worth it
