Oil pressure guage 1990 K3500

Oil pressure guage 1990 K3500
Can any one tell me how to check an oil pressure guage on a 1990 K3500. It goes to the peg when the key (power) is on. I have already changed the sending unit and that didn't fix the issue so I want to know how to test the guage before I replace it.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with your oil pressure gauge? My son just bought a 1988 Chevy extended cab p/u with 350 for $1000 that has lots of problems, which that just happens to be one of them.
Also, I noticed you did not get a response same as me on my post about brake lights and tail lights on the same truck described above. You might try Automotive Repair Help Questions Answered by Auto Mechanics for older vehicles, or Car Junky Dot Com. I got my son's problem fixed and lots of replies. If you look at how many people are online on this forum, there seem to be many more for the newer vehicles versus the older ones. I still use this forum for my 2000 Chevy Silverado, but if you are like me, I could not even find the right category for this 88 beast.
