Default Passenger seat belt warning alarm

I just got my new 2008, 4x4, 1500 Silverado extended cab. This is my fourth, exact same truck in a row, since my first in one 1996.

Here is my problem that never happened in my other three trucks. I have a 53 lb dog that goes with me everywhere I go, and she rides in the passenger bucket seat. If she moves at all, it sets off the "unfastened seat belt" alarm, and after about a minute, it will stop blinking and dinging. Then I go around a turn, or she moves, and it goes off again.

Is there anyway I can get that adjusted to a higher weight sensitivity? Or disconnected, or does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

John

Just buckel the seat belt, ( not around the dog )it should not bother the dog if it is across the seat.

kinda what I was thinking, and its not going off cause the dogs moving it goes off every minute or so to remind you to buckle it.
