Looking for advice here!! I have a 2002 Silverado ls, 1500. A short time ago the passenger side window stopped working. When I hit the up button you can hear the motor trying to work but not when I hit the down. I can actually grab the window with my hands (one on each side of it ) and move it up and down. Any ideas on what I need to replace?

sounds the like the window actuator is bad which is the track. You can buy the motor and actuator together for like 80 bucks at auto zone. It is not hard to replace. If you need instruction look on youtube and they have a guy that gives very detailed instructions.

i took mine apart cleaned it with wd40 and put back in worked
fyi with need little pick and help to get motor contacts back in pain in the a$$ but possible go slow and see what your doing

so if that's the problem doug is that normal that you can move the window up and down so freely by hand?

no thats the plastic track in there you need new track my friend sorry
