po449 and po455 codes wont start

po449 and po455 codes wont start
I have had the po449 code for a short while but no problems driving. yesterday while driving at interstate speed going up a hill I had loss of power so I gassed it. I regained speed but after only a few seconds the engine shut down. I didn't hear any noises or anything. I coasted to the side of the road. I tried to crank it but that's all it would do is try. after wrecker towed me back to the house I ran a diagnostic and now have a po455 code as well. I don't see and lines cracked or anything. I do hear what seems to be fuel pump starting when I turn the key. Would these cause engine just not to start at all? Or is there some underlying issue. thanks for any suggestions. Im on a tight budget and really cant afford a dealership trip.

I'm glad you were able to figure out that your fuel pump was the main culprit of shut-off. Are you still throwing a p0449? We just replaced my fuel pump about a month ago and now I am throwing a p0449 EVAP vent solenoid code. I was already having misfire issues that we *think* stem from a bad O2 sensor but this is a new code and my misfires are worse :/
