Default Putting a floor shifter in my 90 silverado

so ive been wanting to put a floor shifter into my 90 silverado Z71. since its a 4wd, is this going to complicate things? its not electronic 4wd engagement, its manual. so i was looking at something like these.

im going to be putting aluminum heads on my truck to beef it up a bit and a cold air intake or K&N air filter. i think it would be funner/easier with a floor shifter in the truck so when i wanna go wheelin or sumtin, both my shifters are right there.

sounds like a good idea to me, then put buckets in it so there is no more middle man complaining about the shifter

i wouldnt let a guy ride b**ch anyway. but i want the bench seat for when the girls ride there. cuz that way i leave my hand on the shifter and, well, im sure you can see where this is going lol. but a floor shifter would be easier for down shifting which will make my brakes last longer. downshifting on a column is annoying cuz you can go farther then you want and could blow your engine if your doin 45 and drop it that fast into 1st. and thats not what i need. but a floor shifter would be nice and smooth for down shifting.

Those shifters are junk. Get a ratchet shifter. If you buy one of those you'll regret it. They're the walmart version.
