Default Quick lowering question before I go to parts store!

93 GMC, stepside....I have already put 2" drop shackles on the rear, which hardly did anything for leveling...I'm considering blocks too. Will 2" be okay?

Fo-get that! Apparently I have to put the leaf springs on TOP of the axle to be able to use lowering blocks. I'll thrown a couple of 80 pound sand bags back there and be done with it.

Leaf springs need to be under the axle to use blocks to lower it. Called a flip kit. When you put the shackles in did you let the trucks weight sit on it before tightenin things down? Even puttin weight in it like the sandbags then tightenin it down will be good.

No..I just tightened them while it was up. All was fine it seemed until I took off the bumper to put a roll pan on. It raised back up. It looks bad-*** while I have a heavy load of tile in it...I almost dont want to deliver it. Leave it back there.

need to have weight on the springs then tighten them up for it to get the full drop out of the shackles
