So I just got this truck a few weeks ago, and at first I thought one lug nut on each wheel was a locking nut because it sunk into the rim, and the tire iron will not fit in there to grip it.

There is no special tool in the truck, and I can't get the nuts out. I've bought replacements, but I need to get the old ones out first. The trouble is that I'm certain these are aftermarket rims, so GM probably won't have anything to help, and I can't find anything about this online.

Any ideas?

A friend of mine came over after work and checked them out. He believes it's a special nut that requires an attachment to remove it (locking nut of sorts). I'm not sure if this is correct, though, because there's no key slot on the top like you would usually see.

Have you tried a regular socket on them?

That was the trick! The tire iron was too thick to fit inside the hole. Turns out 5 of the lug nuts are 19mm, and the 6th is 21mm. I tried a deepwell socket with a breaker bar and it worked like a charm. Thank god I didn't get impatient and slice up the nuts!
