What was the first year Chevrolet/GM manufactured a crewcab, longbed, 4x4 pickup for retail sale?

I know that GMC had a 'Sierra Classic' in 1978 that was a 4x4 crew cab long bed; but it was a dually. My friend's dad had one and I thought it was the coolest thing on six wheels. LOL!

It had a big 454 V8 engine and got about eight miles to a gallon of gas. They used it for pulling a big boat from time to time. I was only 13 at the time, and though it would have been nice to learn to drive in a rig like that.
