Default Rebuilding motor

I have a 97 Silverado that had 200,000 miles on a 5.3 vortec fuel injected motor. I pulled that engine out. I pulled another 5.3 from an old camper that only had 50,000 miles on it, this one was throttle body injected though. So I took the block from the throttle body injected motor, rebuilt the top of the fuel injected motor, and put it together. I noticed that the heads from the tbi motor are higher than the ones from the fuel injected motor. Now my lifter rods are too short. So the question is, what sized lifter rods should I get to make this work?

You should be able to go to any parts store and get a set for a Vortec motor, and they will work. The heads and injector setup are the main difference in a TBI and Vortec motor. Hope this helps
