Need some good knowledgeable advice. I want to replace my stock 15x9.5 98 Silverado wheels with something larger. What can I upgrade to and still accommodate a 33" 9 ply BF Goodrich. Would really like to go to a 17x10.5x33
but do not want to buy some fancy after-market wheels as I want to keep the truck a sleeper (already pumping out 400+ HP and will add 50 more this week). Would really like to find some newer Chevy wheels that would fit my 5 lug configuration.
Any help appreciated.

wheel size won't really dictate how big of tire. a 33" tire is 33" whether it's 15", 16.5" 17". you can fit up to about a 20 or 22 inch wheel, you'll just have low profile tires.

Do not want to go to low profile, I want the highest weight class I can get as I haul a lot of heavy loads on an 18ft lowboy for my church. So is a 17 my best bet?

Really like your motto, very similar to mine: "There is only two items any mechanic needs; WD40 and duct tape. If something moves and it shouldn't use the duct tape. If something don't move and it should, use the WD40.

find the tire that you want and then buy the size wheel you need for it. Maybe Cragar soft 8's

American racing Outlaw II looks good on your body style. their around 95 or 100 bucks a piece.

funny you say that, cause that's what i put on my 98 'hoe. they do look great. had em on my 94 silverado too.

I had 'em on my 89. 15x8s, with 31 all terrains.

got 16x8's with about 32's (265/75) bfg a/t. those wheels seriously look good on that body style for sure
