I have a 1996 K1500 with 5.7 that won't start. I replaced plugs,wires,cap,and rotor 30k ago. Wife took the truck to Chevy dealer and they pulled a P1345 code. So i replaced the cam sensor, still will not start. Tonight i replaced the crank sensor, still no start.
I have spark and its getting fuel cause i can smell it and when i pulled a few plugs they are wet. It tries to fire when i crank it over,but wont run.
I`m at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Another member just went through a similar problem. Do a search for P1345. It means the CMP sensor is too far off from CKP sensor. The distributor is not installed correctly (off by a teeth?), it's turned too far away from the base, or distributor gear or timing chain is worn.

In order to get a p1345 either the distributor was moved or the gear on the distributor is worn out. You must have a scanner to see the actual correlation. So it was towed to the dealer to pull the codes and then towed back home?

you can check the basic timing by putting the #1 cylinder a top center on the compression stroke and see if the rotor lines up with the #8 embossed on the distributor under the cap on a small pointer,the rest has do be done with a scanner or the dealer
