Reverse lights.

Reverse lights.
Today I was told that my reverse lights stay on continuously. They stay on while in reverse through first gear but go off while in park. I was having a problem the other day using the gear selector to change gears but the problem has gone away now. I have a 89 K1500 Automatic. Also the fuse for the reverse lights are good. Any help??
