shifts hard into reverse

I recently bought a 1999 X-ray71 with 5.3 v8. It shifts hard into reverse everytime. It has 222000 miles on it. Is the u joints my problem?

No they would do it in drive too check motor mounts and transfer fluid

check trans mounts and trans fluid. check condition of fluid, and maybe want to think about changing trans filter
