Default Shock options

Hi guys/gals,

I have an 02 silverado 1500 4wd that is mostly used for towing a 12 ft dump trailer. The truck has 58,000 miles and it seems the shocks are shot; the ride is pretty bad, it bounces and the rear sags.

So anyways, Im looking to replace the shocks. What are the best options? I am slightly partial to bilsteins and Ive looked at the 4600's, 5100's and the HD's. What do you think is best? I dont want something unbearably stiff nor something thats going to wear out as quick as the ACDelcos.

Thanks!

I had factory installed Bilsteins on a Trailblazer and they didn't last long either. If you are looking for good shocks and also a good price, look at Monroe. I have had Monroes on my Silverado for over 100,000 miles and they are still excellent. If you don't care about the price then you can buy the high priced shocks and get the same quality.

Not all are made for lifted trucks. They make em for 0-2" of lift in the front and 0-1" of lift for the back
