Default Shorting 3/4 ton HD wheelbase

Has anyone ever tried to shorten the 3/4 HD wheelbase on a 2007 and newer style Silverado.. What I want to do is place the suspension / 6.0 engine / 6 speed tranny from a 3/4 HD under my 1974 international Pickup. but I need to shorten the wheelbase from 149ish, to 133 inches.. There is very very few regular cab, 8 ' boxes to begin with and most have the 4.8 or 5.3 engines. I want to use the 3/4 generally found in the 3/4 HD with 387HP and the 6 speed tranny

There's one guy in particular that I've watched do it to a single cab duramax on gmfullsize. Went from a regular cab long bed to a regular cab short bed but kept it all HD. Just a short bed duramax. I know its not exactly what you're lookin for but its possible. Here's the link.
