Default Stock stereo with no aux

Hello all, my company got me a low end (cheapest) 2012 Silverado. The stock radio has nothing else but the radio. My question is, can I replace it with a higher end stock radio. I checked e-bay and they have them. Thanks

Yes, check the pictures on ebay to match the plug that is on your truck.

Thanks! I checked on some and some say to see if it's compatible with your truck and you will have to "program " it.

why bother? Belkin makes an low power FM transmitter that allows you to play your MP3s through the FM band.

With the FM transmitter, you can take it with you. eBay has them for less than $10, shipping included.

no, you dont want the cheap ones though. they arent that good and they only come pre-set with 2 or 3 frequencies. A good unit from Belkin or Scoche or others allows you to search the whole dial for an unused frequency. They normally plug into a cigarette lighter or you can hardwire it to the power system.

Schosche makes a bluetooth adapter that you could install. They are all over ebay for less than $50.

I bought a generic FM transmitter off eBay for less than $10, shipping included. It would transmit on any FM frequency, use SD Memory Card, USB port for a thumb drive, and a line input to connect to an IPod. Plugged into the cigarette lighter, and even had a remote control.

Wow! How was the sound quality on those? That would be my best bet, that way I could take it with me. Thanks!
