Default 01 Chevy 1500HD: Towing mirrors?
Hey guys, is it possible to put the new style (07+) towing mirrors? I can easily get my hands on a pair but I would like to know how to make them fit?

yeah, they'll fit. But the mount on the mirror is bigger on the nnbs than it is on the nbs. Some trimmin of the bottom of the plastic on the mirror and it'll fit like a glove

Yup. I read somewhere that they're the same bolt up holes and even the same shape. Just the plastic piece on the nnbs(07+) go down a lil further than the nbs(99-06) so trimmin is necessary

I know the 07+ bolts straight onto an 05 as my father in-law put them onto his 05

Nbs is a 99-06 silverado, nnbs is a 07+. Somethin I picked up from a few other forums

They bolt into the 05 and 06 but unfortunately I don't have one.
